When I first applied to the Agricultural Science Department, I knew it was different than other majors at UT. The faculty and staff took time to treat each student as an individual and really made an attempt to understand each student's needs. From the time I started my classes with the goal of becoming an agriculture teacher, the faculty helped me find my strengths as a teacher and improve upon them.
Upon graduation, I saw my advisor working hard for each graduate to find the perfect school for him or her. Because my advisor took the time early on to get to know me, I feel he was able to help me find a job that fit my strengths and preferences. UT was truly a great experience. I am thankful and feel blessed to wake up every day and enjoy what I do.
